The GOLDSTÜCKE are looking for art mediators!
GOLDSTÜCKE is a light and media art project in public spaces in Gelsenkirchen-Buer since 2019. This year, the decentralized exhibition project will take place from 2 – 6 OCT 2024.
The leitmotif of this year’s GOLDSTÜCKE is REIZ ZEIT (read: stimulus time).
It stands for the current urgency of dealing with the diverse challenges of our time. In a time characterized by conflicts, crises and wars, the festival invites us to consciously engage with the “stimulus” issues of our society and actively participate in change. The word “REIZ (stimulus)” refers to the ongoing tensions and stimuli that harbor both negative and transformative potential.
“ZEIT (time)” emphasizes the urgency of action – now is the moment in which commitment to social change and the strengthening of a democratic culture are essential. The festival is dedicated to these concerns through its thematic diversity.
