Echoia
At GOLDSTÜCKEN 2024, media artist Soobeen Woo presents her work “Echoia”. Here she explores how people’s digital identity changes and merges through the interactions of humans and artificial intelligence. Soobeen Woo lives and works both in Bremen, Germany and Busan, Korea. In her work, the perception of what is shown is constantly changing as digital elements, which are infinitely projectable and distortable, meet fixed analog media. Using a hologram as a medium intensifies the examination of the interface between the analog and digital worlds. Her artistic exploration of transmission ‘failures’ opens up new perspectives on the way in which digital and analog worlds are interwoven. She also believes that these ‘failures’ can challenge and transform visitors’ perceptions.
